GSF Logo, Website & Video
The GSF is a, fictive 2-day, family friendly, musical fund raiser event held to increasing turtle endangerment awareness within the local community. The intention is educate attendees on the human actions that are effecting them, in hopes to create an emotional connection between turtle endangerment to generate increased community protection participation. To increase public interest, it is essential that the event promotional materials imprint a feeling of fun and excitement, for the beach front event, to a broad target market. Starting with the design of the event logo that incorporated an abstract graphic icon of the sun and sea waves over a turquoise framed navy circle for unity. With the musical acts committed and location dates selected the event mood board was designed from which the website, promotional video and logo animation were inspired. Five stages of iteration went into the final website design. The editing stages were essential to ensure the final website design evolve to reflected the inviting energy of the mood board within the brand logo color palette. The logo animation storyline is inspired from nature with the sun rising form the horizon and the waves moving into view, while settling into position over the framing circle with the event name closing the visual focus. The animation has been created to be the final information transition aspect of the promotional video.
